Our Shared Commitment
Each February, people across Canada participate in events and celebrations that honour the enduring legacy, resilience, and transformative contributions of Black people in Canada. We invite all Canadians to engage, learn, and reflect on how Black communities have been, and continue to be, essential to shaping the nation.

Black Leadership & Intersectional Social Infrastructure
This theme acknowledges:
The profound diversity within Black Canadian communities
The critical importance of Black leadership across all sectors
The living legacy built by generations who toiled without compassion or compensation. Our work is grounded in the lived experiences and realities of our Ancestors. It is upon narratives of resilience and self-determination we are creating a foundation for a future for our communities to thrive.
Dream and imagine a world where all Black people are valued, liberated, and take stock of our cumulative efforts to build a liberatory, self-determined future.
This February, we transform narratives;

"Black Futures Month" honors history while celebrating a new generation of champions, leaders, and advocates fighting for equity and justice.

Our core initiative is dedicated to showcasing the multifaceted dimensions of our journey:
Community Care & Social Infrastructure
Education & Legacy
Culture & Expression
Wellness & Liberation
The profound impact of our past on the present and future.

Let's build the future, rooted in legacy
